How To Improve Conversion Rates?

How To Improve Conversion Rates?

Normally, people find it difficult to convert clicks into sales. The point is that if we don’t convert traffic into sales, what’s the point in marketing efforts? In can be frustrating for us after we spend so much time and money on landing pages, mass emails and more to attract visitors and increase sales, yet our efforts prove fruitless.

I know that conversion optimizing isn’t an easy task, but if you are struggling or are unhappy with your marketing effort, that means you should explore these three tips to help you convert.

Keep Everything Simple

You’ve heard it a thousand times before: keep things simple. Whether you’re creating email copy or other content, it always works. Don’t get carried away explaining too much about your products and services; be crisp and to the point. Too much explaining puts visitors off. Consumers are intelligent, and they don’t need lengthy sales pitches. They need an immediate solution to their problem.

In addition to content, forms to fill out should be simple and as straightforward as possible. For example, when you’re collecting information for your email list, you don’t need a phone number, address and last name. First names and email addresses are enough. Market research has shown that adding unnecessary elements to forms substantially decreases conversion.

Make Your Call To Action Visible

Your call to action only works if it’s visible, otherwise it won’t have the impact you need. Make sure the call to action is larger than the main text used in your content. You may have noticed that in many companies’ websites or emails they include a call to action in the form of a button. This allows the CTA to stand out because it’s notable.

One very important aspect of your CTA is that it should be placed in the first one to two minutes of reading. That means the first CTA should be in the second or third paragraphs.

Use Catchy Headlines

In addition to any call to action, you should put more gusto into your headline and subheadings. Say, for example, that you’re sending emails to users. In this case, you should use a catchy headline in the subject lines. This is the only way you’re going to get users to open emails. Headlines should grab the attention of the user without too much info – they should be short, crisp and to the point.

Add Testimonials

Customer testimonials are crucial to landing pages on your website. Many times, consumers are more willing to listen to other consumers’ experiences rather than let the company itself convince them. By doing this, you’re letting your visitors know that your solutions really do work. You’re promoting your products and the idea that if they buy them, they’ll benefit from them in the same way the customers in the testimonials did.

A good example would be if you’re new to business and you don’t have any customers. You can use marketing efforts like giving away some freebies to individuals or a group of people so that you can ask them to give feedback. They’ll let you know what they think using their comments, which you can then use for commercial purposes.

Yes, it will take time and effort to improve conversion rates, but soon you’ll start to discover and implement these and other strategies to find success.

What Motivates The Buyer?

What Motivates The Buyer?

In one of my past blogs, titled “What Really Sells”, I talked about people buying products as a solution to their problem. They buy food and shop for groceries when they’re hungry. They buy education when they want to build their career. They buy a car because they want to get where they need to go or impress their friends. Presenting the problem is very important in marketing so that you can sell products that are solution-oriented.

For example, say your affiliate product is an e-book that teaches others how to speak publicly. The problem would be that the customer has stage fright or is overly shy and doesn’t know how to interact with people. The way to present this problem is through a series of questions:
Do you get tongue-tied when you see a big crowd?
Are you spending more time with yourself than you are socializing?
Are you afraid of people watching you, waiting for you to do something wrong?

Next, you need to offer a solution. Introduce your product as the solution to the problem. This gives your prospective customer hope that buying your product would solve their problem. The book title is a great way to do this. For example, you may wish to title your book about public speaking “How To Do Public Speaking: A Comprehensive Guide”.

After introducing the product, you have to explain the benefits of it. How is your product different from other products available in the marketplace? How will your product make the customer’s life better? Yes, talking more about benefits is a better way to promote your affiliate products because you’re letting potential customers imagine themselves being a better person for having purchased your product.

A good way to remember it is like this: Features sell, but benefits tell. You can also offer some special bonuses or a guarantee if you want to, or you can wait until someone asks you about special offers so that it has more impact. It’s entirely up to you.

The most important part of selling any product is the Call to Action (CTA). Without it, all your efforts will be in vain. You need to be very clear about what the reader has to do; there shouldn’t be any confusion whatsoever. If the Call to Action is to visit a sales page, make that clear to the customer. If it’s to buy a product, state exactly what they have to do to buy it. Don’t hesitate or beat around the bush. Be direct!

Finally, the affiliate link is also one of the most important parts – don’t forget this! If you forget this, you’ve wasted the customer’s time because they can’t get where you want them to go. To make sure you’ve got everything you need, you need to test, test, test! Double check everything, from your affiliate link to the web page where the customer can buy the product you’re promoting. One small spelling mistake could mess up the whole sales process.

What Really Sells?

What Really Sells?

What really sells in the online marketplace? Is it physical products? Information? Education? If you think any of those things are what sells, the sad news for everybody who believes that is that you’re wrong. You don’t sell any of those.

Is it contradictory to say such a thing? Let me frame it in a different way. You may sell these things, but that isn’t what the customer wants to buy. They’re searching for something else, but the real question is: what does the customer actually want to buy?

The answer: a solution. Yes, it’s a solution and/or results. In the online marketplace, everybody is looking for a solution or result.

What does this indicate? You probably got it right when you thought of the old saying, “Nobody wants a drill; they want a hole.”

There’s a lot of information, products and education available out there. If people want to use it, they will when it suits them, or in other words, when they require it. They don’t want more of these things. People don’t want others to tell them how to do things. They want somebody to do it for them! They want a service. They want a solution and results.

You see, there will always be a surplus of information, products, videos and video modules with hours and hours of online training. There will always be those who sell these things. If you’re thinking of selling these things yourself because you think you’ll make a huge profit, think again. This strategy would have worked ten years back when online business first started, but not now.

Now the pace at which the world is going means nobody has a need for you to provide these things. Say, for example, your affiliates and clients are asking you to promote events, products or Ebooks. Not a single one of them is going to want to create their own ads, banners and promotional materials, but if you create an ad for them and charge appropriately, they’ll be happy to pay for that because you’re filling a need.

You’re providing a service. What they’ve bought are not products or information, not any tips or tricks and techniques, but rather they’ve gotten results. So how do you sell results? That’s the bigger question.

One of the best ways to sell results is to gather the talent or expertise of several people and combine them to provide the results people are looking for. Just as an example, I, myself, hire virtual employees and create a team that gives my clients the results they need. This is how you spend less, create solutions and sell them for more because that’s what people want. They just want results!

The lesson here is to start thinking about how you can deliver services even if you don’t have the skills to provide paid services. Once you figure that out, you’ll find your own place in the successful online solutions market.

Free Traffic vs. Paid Traffic

Free Traffic vs. Paid Traffic

Free traffic is based on SEO video marketing and marketing to your friends groups on Facebook. It’s not that I’m against free traffic. You can do well with it, and organic searches are better for your site when being indexed by search engines, but the process is slow. It doesn’t teach people to market properly, it’s time-consuming, and moreover, it isn’t scalable.

Paid traffic might feel like a risk, but when you see the benefits and potential, you will see why I strongly prefer it. Let me explain to you why I call it scalable.

When you pay for traffic, you’re likely to get a bigger return than when you don’t. You could say you literally get what you pay for. Paid traffic allows for larger revenue streams that increase your budget for marketing. When you make profits, take a percentage of it and reinvest in paid traffic again. When the revenue comes back even larger, you can dedicate a larger percentage to buying traffic a second time, which allows your business to grow exponentially. It’s a cycle that works.

Of course, there are downsides to every business method, and having money on the line might sound like a bad consequence, but it’s a serious motivator. When you’re pursuing free traffic through various methods like email lists and SEO optimization, you can spend months, even years, without having positive results. Time and time again, you’ll find yourself trying to keep up with search engine algorithms and spending hours on keyword research. You see little return for your time investment.

The process of getting free traffic might be frustrating, but it isn’t causing you any direct harm other than wasting your time, which I consider more valuable than money. When you pay for traffic, you will focus and do everything you can to get the results you need because the stakes are high. Your money is on the line; what better motivator is there than the potential loss of your hard-earned cash?

As a result of using paid traffic, you’ll learn to strengthen your skills set to become successful. You’ll also learn to market properly, write effectively, strategize what types of ads you use, and build a list for email marketing. Some of these will be particularly difficult for you, but you’ll benefit from knowing your strengths and weaknesses. Once you’ve learned these things, you’ll be able to delegate tasks to others.

The truth of the matter is that paid traffic is an investment, not an expense. For every dollar you spend, you get two dollars worth of traffic. The return on your investment makes it all worthwhile. You may not find success on your first attempt, but as you learn and improve your skills as an internet marketer, paying for traffic will become something you start to look forward to.

Just Sell it!

Just Sell it!

The one skill you want to develop as an entrepreneur is salesmanship!

My affiliaites who are starting online businesses are always focusing on business cards, logo design and creating a blog, along with other things along those lines. Yes, of course these are important, but the most important skill you need to develop is the art of selling.

Selling makes most people uncomfortable. This can either be from lack of experience or difficulty being direct in interactions with customers. Some people don’t have strong communication skills; this leads them to overwork on other tasks like website development. They wonder why they aren’t getting any sales.

Ultimately, selling is what will bring you sales. It’s pretty simple.

Being a good salesperson isn’t a bad thing, though some people think it is. Let me give you an example.

When we go to a professional job interview, what we are doing is selling ourselves. We learn how to be good at this, and we demonstrate what we have to offer if we’re hired for the position. You’re selling yourself to the person who is showing interest in you as an employee. You are both the product and the salesperson in this respect. It’s up to you to showcase your abilities and sell yourself to any interested party.

Even in online business, you have to do the same thing. If you try to sell your products to people who aren’t even interested in you, who don’t appreciate your knowledge, they’re never going to go for it. The rule of thumb is to find people who are interested in your products and what you have to say about them. This is called targeted traffic. The problem starts when you have to convert those who aren’t interested.

Selling to someone who wants to buy your product is a breeze, so concentrate your efforts on them. In my businesses, I target people who show interest and direct them to my affiliate sales team, all of whom are specialists in salesmanship. That’s how I convert traffic into sales. When I give group seminars for interested parties, it’s easy to explain what I do and get a few sales from people who were on the fence about buying. I’ve converted people who weren’t interested before into paying customers.

As entrepreneurs, we need to get over the fear of being rejected. You need to become an authoritative figure with the confidence of an experienced business owner. It takes some practice; if you find that you still can’t do it, direct customers to your sales team. After all, they’re the experts in selling. However, the ability to sell on your own is the most valuable skill you will ever have as an entrepreneur, so give it all you’ve got.

Steve Jobs is a prime example of someone who knows how to sell. He launched a line of products that buyers were interested in, and customers’ demands led him to constantly improve these products. No matter what business you’re starting, it will be an uphill climb. If it was easy to get to the top, everyone would be there. Accept that you will be rejected, that there will be hurdles along the way. No matter what is thrown at you, if you stay resilient and learn from your mistakes, you’ll have a greater chance at success.
